This is an album cover I designed for Magazine Gap, a rock band in the UK. This is their debut album, and it was important that the imagery matched the lyrical quality of the music. I spent a lot of time researching themes and images for the album’s direction, and we ultimately settled on this lit tunnel. In addition to representing a journey through areas of light and shade, the title itself was given it’s own treatment.  Light passes through the name of the album, while the ampersand is solid, casting a shadow on the road surface. Overall it’s very attractive album artwork, but more importantly it projects the same feelings as the music itself. This artwork will be used on CDs, marketing materials, and digital copies of the record.
