UMicIt is a new social network for college students. They’re taking a radically different approach to online communication, and needed a logo that felt strong, and revolutionary.

This logos utilizes bold colors and shapes to make their company memorable, and original. Pronounced “You Mic It’, the old style microphone serves as strong symbol for their platform of communication. I designed several concepts for the company. Their final choice was a bit more contemporary but I loved this version’s vintage radio look. It’s similar to an ‘On Air’ sign at a radio station, which is fitting with the social network’s purpose.
